Hello and welcome!

I am a devourer of words, valiant defender of grammar and collector of lost apostrophes. I adored reading ever since I was allowed to check out more than 2 books from the school library. Certain books register sharper than others:

  • Emergence – Steven Johnson
  • The Man Who Mistook His Wife For A Hat – Oliver Sacks
  • Bobby Fischer Goes to War – David Edmonds and John Eidinow
  • Wittgenstein’s Poker – David Edmonds and John Eidinow
  • A Princess Bride – William Goldman
  • Scoop – Evelyn Waugh
  • Me Talk Pretty One Day – David Sedaris
  • The New York Trilogy – Paul Auster

I urge you to read them if you haven’t already.

Nowadays I read less books and more blogs. Blogs about science, health, neurophilosophy, technology as well as quite a few from the New Yorker’s arsenal of wonderful bloggers/columnists.

By day I am an acupuncturist in London. I started writing this blog in response to some questions from patients who wanted tips or suggestions to help when they were away from my treatment room. Since then it has become a little window into my world as I share more than just tips.

I hope my thoughts help spark a little bit of rediscovery for each and everyone of you, to help you see the world perhaps in a way you didn’t before. I don’t believe in ranting about things (well I try) and purposely wanted to keep a positive attitude on my blog. It’s so much easier to moan about things that are unfair and get us down. Instead I try to make sure that my little corner of the blog universe is a place where you get some sunshine and respite from the rain. Enjoy and let me know what you think.
